Area 86 DevLog #4

Hello!

Had a really sad week.
On Tuesday [05.12.2017] my beloved work station, where all development happens, made a turn that changed everything.
[ We did develop happy together from 2013 ]

The GPU died :( !!!

Pff, just change it and move on — right?
Well, if it would be so easy, I would write and show Area 86 stuff.
But as it happens, my old buddy is a Mac. And the GPU is soldered onto the logic board.
O boy, would newer believe that it would happen, but here we are!
Dropped it at nearest repair center and crossing fingers, so that can get him back till Christmas.

While waiting for my buddy, bought some extra pencils and paper.
Because level design continues and new ideas pop for Area 86!

Thanks to everyone for you’re amazing feedback and support!

Life happens!

Hello!

I made a present for you!

Fixed little bugs and uploaded a new Area 86 demo version with a pumpkin feature!

[ You can enable pumpkin mode under Options -> Others ]

It's time to release the pre-release demo version!

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Successful landing

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.
