Game
Phobia: The Awakening

As you turn the ending page, you see another chapter...

A Teaser and an Update on Things!

Well then, looks like all is going well, isn't it? Let's hope they be a little more, careful, this time...

------

A lot of you have probably wondered, "What's been going on with Ih-ihs and Phobia?" at some point in time. Well, while I won't say too much, Phobia is getting a sequel. It's quite early in development, so I don't want to go overboard showing teasers. A teaser will indicate a good amount of progress has been made, which means they will probably come out within longer time frames.

It took me since late 2019 to actually decide on what the first game was going to be like and went on and off multiple projects. It was insanely exhausting! Now, obviously, I was making the first game with more games to come in mind, so I wanted to limit myself to keeping it simpler and not all over the place. I doubt the sequel will take two years to make, but it will take a long time for a few good reasons.

I want this game to be good by taking my time with it. The reason The Awakening got finished was because I took a LOT of time to think about different concepts, and I took breaks when either I got overwhelmed by things, or I just wanted to get away for a bit. And doing so, it helped me decide on what I needed to do and also helped me come up with better ideas for the game. I'm a one-man army with only a sound effect designer/musician working by my side, and even then, I want them to take their time too! As a bonus, I have a job, which is an overnight job, too, and that alone is pretty exhausting!

The most important thing for me is that I want to make the game, not that I have to make the game. If I sped through development, some ideas wouldn't be as good! Looking back at my older ideas for this game already, it's improved a TON, so no doubt it'll keep improving over time!

I can't say when it'll come out, because even I don't know, to be perfectly honest! I CAN say, however, development is going well, and things are looking pretty good so far, so don't worry about it being cancelled or anything, no matter how long it takes!

With all that in mind, I also do have other future game projects I really want to work on, and in no way I want to feel held back from doing so! I would be more than happy to share them with all of you as well, and I think you may also enjoy them as much as Phobia!

"My game still isn't saving."

"What's 'Wiggle Pizza World?' I thought it was 'Wiggle Pizza House?' The newspaper said that."

"The loading screen takes a long time..."

I know, I know. I'm planning on making another update for The Awakening to try to fix some problems. This will take some time, too, probably because I might throw in something else, knowing myself...

------

These things do take time, and I think that with that time, they grow to be something great. Here's to the future!

Happy 4th anniversary to Phobia: The Awakening!

Releasing this game was a huge step out of my comfort zone, and it's been my biggest blessing and curse at the same time.

Thank you all SO MUCH for your support!

Giving Unreal Engine 4 another shot with a much more open mind so I don't fall into Tutorial Hell and get discouraged. So far so good! Feel quite a bit more confident in using it as of right now.

3,000 followers is actually insane. I wouldn't have made a decade old series of shitposts into something genuinely so cool nowadays without you guys.

Phobia: The Awakening's 5th anniversary is on August 27th.

Please I don't know how to draw fans

The stream motivated me a lot, I'm really happy with this drawing!!

Trying to improve how I draw humans (which I rarely do) so I can give myself some actual reference for their updated 3D models and to give them some nicer stylization.

Also yes this is a concept sketch of Dean’s new design.

A joke I made with @Sillylilman that turned into a good idea for a drawing

Nightmare Mark

Mother, I had just hatched from my egg and have been brought into this dark world, there is no need to hold me in such an embarrassing manner.

SHOWMAN! 1!1!1!

No pranks today.

edit: nvm

Anyway have a look at the model of Mark's bedroom, which was supposed to be in other cutscenes that ended up being scrapped from Phobia: The Awakening due to a lack of motivation.
