Since it has been a while we thought we’d give you all a quick update with what’s happening with Bits and Bites.
As some of you may know, we always intended to continue developing and improving on the game using the great feedback we’ve been recieving on GameJolt.
So it’s with that in mind that we announce today that Bits and Bites will not only be improved, but that it’s also going mobile! We have taken your suggestions and will be adding them as well as a host of other new features such as better indicators, menus, and upgrades as well as some artistic polish for animations, combat, menus and scenery.
We believe in transparency so we’ll be the first to say that we will be adopting the freemium model for mobile. This isn’t a greedy money grabbing exercise, but rather a means to help us continue making games. We haven’t asked for a handout, or a grant, or run a kickstarter. We’re doing this entirely out of our own pocket and like any business, we will need to see a profit in order to keep making more games.
The mobile game will be free so that everyone can enjoy the full experience. We will only be adding a coin pack function that will tie with the existing coins in the game to allow people to fast track unlocking new costumes. Every single costume will be obtainable in game without paying a single dollar, so there will be no pay walls or pay-to-win issues.
