Many people from this community may or may not have heard of the infamous Lisa the pointless mod, "Scholar Of The Wilbur Sin", created by JC Jimmy and his team in 2021. It was a pretty impressive and heartfully made expansion of the original game, so much so it even impressed it's creator Edvinas Kandrotas and he accepted Jimmy as a member of the official game team.
What you may not know however is that almost two years ago a group of amateur spriters started gathering to work on an update to this amazing mod on the likes of the official monster update and over these two years what was something amateurish and with no hope of going somewhere became something massive with actual content in-game and a great amount of game engine and spritework done, so much so that on this 8/8 infinity day we feel confident and honored to announce The Cardinal Update! an unofficial Monster Update for one of the best LISA mods ever created.
This update mod will feature:
-A complete revision or update on all the original SOTWS characters so that they are somewhat consistent with the new sprite style featured in the "Monster Update."
-Quality of life gameplay changes and alterations for a better experience and better consistency. (R.I.P state faces)
-An overhauled soundtrack composed by original tracks, and remixes of old songs.
-Revised writing and an attempt to improve some of the most criticized aspects of the original mod.
-Complete graphical overhaul on all the original mod maps, from resprited prop scenes to total design changes.
I know what some may think: That our team is working on an overhaul of an old mod that'll clearly become outdated and overlooked once the real game comes out. But that's one of the big reasons we're doing this, we loved the mod and we want to see it alive in some way even after MU comes out. So the ultimate goal of this project is to see if we can make something that could be ported to MU without consistency issues in the future.
Our team is composed by these beautiful persons: Krung, Lean Slayer, Ray4, Beasuce, Beckles and Heckles, Chesteroid, Dandy, Discofan3000, Fernandoz, John Faust, dr idiot, Enana Blanca, JoelHtf, Sim, Kratskrag, Serum and Yibo.
As I've said before a lot of work has been done already but this is not even close to the amount of work needed for this to be complete and that's where you ( exactly, YOU) can come in.
