Hello World! welcome to the final bi-weekly devlog for a while.
To reiterate, I’m going dark to finish to already announced campaign map. I’ll share more planned details once I’m finished with this update. Or I guess once it goes into beta. Yeah. Things are accelerating fast.
I’ve also ported over everything into Game Maker Studio 2 so I can use the new room editor for putting together campaign maps.
Things will also be just generally faster, only saving what’s changed, rather than everything twice (twice for a backup).
Arena testing is also mostly done. I just have a little bit of cleanup to do and from there all focus will be on the campaign.
So remember those “hush hush” things???
For the past few months, i’ve been hiding a lot of additions that are meant to add a fair bit
Well. As you might imagine. These additions are mainly new weapons for each character.
Each character now has three alternate attacks/weapons of choice.
These weapons will be chosen before you start an arena, and will change depending on the campaign chapter.
The weapons will also help with the IMMENSE amount of re-balancing that has gone on over the course of this update. Tying back into the melee character/ranged enemies problem I’ve been trying to tackle.
Interestingly enough, however, many of these balancing changes might end up being fruitless, or provide a solid foundation for the campaign.

With all that behind us
It’s time that I bid thee all adieu, and basically go into hiding for a while as I finish this map up.
(I may post a thing or two on twitter, but that’s not guaranteed.)
