Bloodjak Released (#indiesvsgamers)


Sidescrolling arcade shmup Bloodjak is complete and has been entered for your consideration in the #indiesvsgamers jam. Lasers! Space ships! Jacking out of cyberspace! It’s pretty dang cool.

Oh, but it comes with a twist! Dead players can’t submit high scores, just like in real life. You have to safely exit the simulation without dying in order to place a spot on the high score table. The point of this mechanic is to keep competition for high scores, well, competitive, and add a little extra dramatic tension to the game experience.
