The Intro

I always seem to use the Treadmills and Climbmills at Parkway Athletic Club. my favorite ones are the ones that have a touch screen, since it opens doors to many new apps to be used on the treadmill. although, since i've got into Club Penguin, I've had one big burning question: "does it run Club Penguin?"

The Alternative

as you know, Club Penguin shut down in 2017, three years before the death of Adobe Flash altogether. This led to fans of the original making faithful recreations of the original, although some didn't last long. the version I'll be using for this is New Club Penguin (no I am not abbreviating it), an HTML5 remake of the game. although some features are still in the works, it is still a great experience for new and old fans alike.

The Setup

my original plan was to find a video on the Youtube app that had a link to Wikipedia, then search up Google. after that, I would scroll down to find the link to the Google webpage. i'd search up New Club Penguin, log in, and play. although, that was simplified to just searching up the Google website and finding a weird video that had the link to Google, then searching New Club Penguin up. ironically, YouTube served as a gateway into Google.

The Test

after logging into my account, named 'KaidoMartlet' (named after Martlet from Undertale Yellow, because... y'know, birds), I entered the world of New Club Penguin. it was a tiny bit laggy (probably 15 to 20FPS), but it was still playable. chatting was pretty okay, for a big keyboard. I gloated about how I was running the game on a Matrix treadmill, and that "nobody would ever believe me".

The Disaster

I tried to play Pizzatron 3000, but the graphics were messed up and I couldn't see what the order was, so I exited out. shortly after exiting out of Pizzatron 3000, though, the conveyor stopped (I wasn't harmed, as it was only going 1.5MPH) and the console restarted, presumably because it "couldn't handle the heat and got out of the kitchen" (crashed). I then decided to be a normal person and actually use the treadmill for its intended purpose.

So... does Club Penguin run on a treadmill? a mix between Yes and Partially, since the main game works, but the Minigames do not.
