Canis Lupus Update #4: Things that have been changed.

In 2013, we announced our very first IP. It was going to be a cross platform game, that would be entirely made by Blaster Lizard Gaming Team. Canis Lupus was supposed to be an easy and simple game to make, but with a very ambitious idea. Problems regarding our lack of technology at the time made us to delay the production of the game for a unknown period of time and since then, we have united the strengh of our team to focus on making Canis Lupus a reality.

Now this finally became possible. We are working with a lot of talented people and thanks to them, each day Canis Lupus is taking more form and getting stronger in its development. We have started a partnership with Footprint Games, which is responsible for a huge portion of the scripting progress in the game.

  • Feature | Description

  • Updated Shaders | Will make possible for us to delievery enhanced graphics to our game, with a better atmosphere.

  • VR Compatibility | We always wanted to add this feature to our game since Oculus has been announced. Now we will be able to do so, and we are working hard on this feature, to make it the most enjoyable possible.

  • Complex Scripting | With our new technology, we will be able to deliver a game with multiple endings, where your behavior can affect the environment and trigger new events that will change the plot of our game. We also will be able to create complex environment interactions, realistic weather and much more.

The graphics quality has increased, aswell all the gameplay mechanics. Footprint Games & Flickering Light Studios have made possible for us to add a lot of features to our game, such as Oculus Rift support, Drag/Push doors, Complex Dialog system, enhanced graphics with updated shaders created specially for Unity 5 game engine like Vignette and Chromatic Aberration, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion and many more. We will talk more about these features in the future, when we launch the first gameplay trailer of the game.

We are also ready to make a great announcement for the game. We have our first confirmed voice actor for Canis Lupus (for the PT-BR version of the game). His name is Gilvan Endrius and he is an YouTuber on Brazil and will be lending his voice to one of the protagonists of the game, called Franklin Mors. You can check his official announcement in the Blaster Lizard YouTube page bellow:

I was bored, so... ManutKat.

"Our work is never over" they said.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Horror WIP A track that will be featured in a future horror game soundtrack! Stay tuned!
