Captain Proton: Panic On Planet X

Just putting out a lil’ news piece for anybody interested. While the game isn’t anywhere near complete (nor anywhere near enough stuff done to release a demo), I have some screenshots up as well as a reasonably lengthy description of the game.

It’s essentially the first episode in three episode game, a platform action-adventure that’s heavily inspired by classic DOS platform games.

Think of it as a cross between Mario, Contra, Metroid, Star Wars, and Red Dwarf, with a little of C.S. Lewis’s Space Trilogy thrown in. The look of it is inspired by sci-fi movies from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s (think The Last Starfighter or The Black Hole).

Anyways, a demo should be up within less than a month, while the full game should be done in two months, maybe later. I don’t know. I’m shooting for two months.

If you’d like to learn more about it, send me a reply on the game page (or here, or in a private message, although replying on the game page is preferred) and I’ll be happy to get back to you.

Thanks. :)
