I have created a checklist of tasks I need to 100% complete before releasing the build of the new TMM. Here is everything on my list as of now:
Checklist before v0.01 release
[x] At least FIVE minutes of gameplay available of fast play
[x] Try to get the text to work properly (Not too important right now)
[x] Have music working
[x] Create (New) Lyndsay walking animations
[x] Have an intro sequence (Doesn't have to be final, at least enough to tell the basic story)
[x] Implement the city (At least one explorable street with things of importance)
[x] Implement the school (At least one exterior room, one hallway, one bathroom, and [possibly] one classroom)
[x] Implement Lyndsay's house (At least her room, hallway, and [possibly] living room)
[x] Get debug menu to display properly in the school area and other areas that are bigger than 640x480
[x] Get the school bathroom completely functional
[x] Implement new loading screen
[x] Make sure there are no soft-lock states present
[x] Get objective UI to work and display properly
[x] Make sure all music and sounds are mastered
[x] Get rm_disclaimer, rm_inassociation, and rm_heaphones to be all one room, instead of separate rooms
[x] Try to optimize the game, removing unneeded sprites for now, and making memory usage smaller
Now keep in mind, I'm still a fairly new developer, I've had experience making games for six years but I am just now trying to do something outside-of-the-box for this game, so please understand! I want to polish the game to be presentable, instead of releasing a half-baked joke of a game. I hope you all understand and are all ready for the brand new TMM coming soon :)
