For clarity: All contributors to Wild Wonders are credited for the work they performed.
Recently, a performer requested their name be removed after the project was completed. While I respect that comfort levels can change over time, professional collaboration depends on open communication and mutual respect. Unfortunately, in this case, opportunities for dialogue were missed.
This individual had five weeks to raise questions or concerns but did not do so and later blocked communication channels, which made resolving this directly impossible.
Regarding the claim of feeling manipulated, the project’s intentions and content were communicated clearly from the start, and all collaborators were encouraged to ask questions or step away if needed. While feeling uncomfortable after the fact is understandable, it does not equate to manipulation.
The suggestion that the depiction of grooming should be ‘less heavy-handed’ to ease discomfort overlooks the project’s goal: to honestly and respectfully portray difficult realities. Softening this portrayal would not honor those affected or the subject matter.
One playthrough of my work reveals stories deeply grounded in reality—exploring the burden of guilt, the blinding pursuit of revenge, and the lengths a father will go for someone he loves. I knew this project might spark controversy, but I stand by it. My hope is that anyone experiencing this or any of my other projects will look inward, find empathy, and see that my work reflects very real people—flawed, driven, and profoundly human.
My projects are not perfect they never will be; but I keep trying
Credits reflect factual contributions and are not endorsements or personal statements. Changing credits after completion would compromise the integrity of the project and the work of all involved.
Therefore, credits will remain as originally assigned.
Moving forward, I will ensure content warnings are clearer to help all collaborators make fully informed decisions before participating.
TL;DR
Their unprofessional conduct, silent for weeks despite ample opportunity to voice concerns, followed by blocking all communication and demanding their involvement be erased after the fact, is a blatant display of disrespect and cowardice. This behavior is unacceptable and shows zero accountability. I will never, under any circumstances, work with this person again. Their conduct speaks for itself, and I will not hesitate to advise caution to others if asked.
I will not entertain any further debate on this matter-consider it resolved.
