Cnos - Puzzle game for GBJAM

Well, it’s time to share what i’ve been doing these days.

In first place, my idea was not to make a puzzle game. My first idea was to make a crazy beat’em up/fight game mixed with a board game (game idea generators are insane). But was a very complex idea, and i have not enough skills coding to make that (heck, this gbjam game is my second game!).

So i start thinking in new ideas, brainstorming and all of that, and came up with a puzzle game (inspired by NES Adventure’s of Lolo) sited on a creepy cave. I had a lot of problems with the tiled levels, collision detection (which still has some problems), events, etc. But… well, this is the work of making games, huh?

The game’s progression is going fine. I got a lot of work to do, but everything is going good

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
