Happy New Year JR’s fans! We have a lot to share as you can see by these images. This post also is meant to celebrate the game page approaching 40k followers!! Thank you all for being incredibly supportive and patient with us as always.
To start, we have a pretty major announcement to share. We are excited to announce that JR’s: Enter The Flipside is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, and is now considered a full 3D remaster + expansion! The screenshots and video you see above are in fact taken in Unreal, in engine (please keep in mind that nothing is final!).

After a long discussion, we decided to switch engines to a fully 3D engine due to quite a lot of limitations within Clickteam Fusion and Firefly. Simply put, the scale of this game has grown to the point where we felt more comfortable sticking with Unreal as opposed to Clickteam Fusion. Programming is now being done by @FriendlyWolf

We have made tons of progress so far in Unreal (in all sections of the game), and our team is very dedicated and focused on the product at hand. We can assure you that JR’s: ETF will be released this year. We genuinely cannot wait for you all to experience The Flipside in all its glory.
