Did you know that the original Legend of ZUN had only 61 maps compared to the Deluxe edition’s 126, that’s over a 106% increase in areas. But’s more like 60 and 125 since there is one map that’s inaccessible in normal gameplay and its a test map. The test map’s purpose is to test vehicles and enemy encounters.
The Legend of ZUN Deluxe uses graphics from the Legend of ZUN 2, if you look at ZUN’s sprite and face graphic, its from the sequel.
The Legend of ZUN is a very anachronistic game and its takes place in a funky time where Sir Clive Sinclair stopped making computers, the Touhou Project games exist and Jack Tramiel is not only still at Commodore but
is also in charge of the Amiga project.Tony Tangier is a reference to the movie Casino, Kessel and its namesake marathon is also a reference to Star Wars.
The miko graphics used were actually from a game that started development before “Legend of ZUN Deluxe” was put into production.
Having trouble with the Billy Maze? just follow the banners!
The message at the end of the credits that states that “All events and characters are fictitious and any resemblance to real life…” is different from when you beat the game the first time and the second when you beat the postgame?
This is the first game finished that was produced at Devereux ABH.
I hope you enjoyed these neat little fun facts.
