CORRUPTION WITHIN THE ELEMENTALS

Scendora Studios Presents: The untold tale of Darlock’s great history continues! This article, taken directly from the Darlock Encyclopedia, entails of corruption within the elementals of Darlock.

At this time in the world of Darlock, all cultures of all races were living among each other. Towns were created where creatures could receive items they required. In harmony of their races and culture, much time was spent in worship of the Gods and Elementals. The fourteen Gods had much joy being worshiped as they were promised by Darnes. Impressive statues were erected surrounding worship centres. Darnes kept busy watching over his creation. During this time Melock and Lapiseria were drifting apart. Having had their fun together, they grew tired in each others company. During this time Melock found himself with Ventrisera. Her charm growing more difficult to ignore. Soon Lapiseria became suspicious of her lovers loyalty. She began to find interest in Darnes. Watching over his world with him. Melock hadn’t noticed the difference in lovers. Soon Lapiseria became pregnant with Melocks seed.

While this was happening the Legend was keeping well control over the world. Protecting the people, his name was raised onto the highest. Thought better than of the Elementals, Darnes started to feel unappreciated. Lapiseria gave birth to a new God. The birth bringing the four Elementals together. This God was promised to keep worship of the people to the Elementals, not to be wasted by Gods.

Born Directly into power, the Legend was moved out of his. The Legend was seen as a betrayer of the Elementals and was imprisoned in the core of Darlock. Unfortunately through history this new born God has been forgotten. He is called now only as the Forgotten.

As the Forgotten carried out his job of protecting the likeness of the Elementals, the creatures developed a distaste for the Forgotten. In fear of his wrath, the Forgotten allowed few from his presents still alive. The Elementals loved this God. Forgetting their abandoned child still floating relentlessly in the magma of Darlocks liquid core.

As time moved forward, the Forgotten was working rigorously to please the people. This was his purpose, to be the bridge of the Gods, the creatures and the four Elementals. The Forgotten wanted the creatures of Darlock to praise him, though no matter how much he worked towards that goal, his appearance to the peoples eyes never fluctuated passed not being petrified in fear. The Forgotten grew angry in not being able to persuade the people. He saw how cruel the Elementals treated them.

“They don’t hate me. They hate the Elementals! I must stop the interference of Man and Elemental. Only a God should serve able enough to bridge a bond with the creatures.” -The Forgotten

"Our work is never over" they said.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
