Hello? HELLO!? Ummm, it appears you may have found this post. Well it appears I have uncovered something, something rather deep. I don’t know where else to post this so here I go.
So whoever I am is simple. I am here on gamejolt to simply archive the vast history of Fangames to prevent them from being lost media. It’s hard work actually, trying to find old Fangames coated with digital cobwebs. It was genuinely fun seeing what the community had come up with over the yearswhat matters is that I have this feeling that there is something creeping through both the clickteam era games and various old Fangames. Like I noticed that while there many Easter eggs in both, there are some that just… don’t belong.
For instance, for the 10th anniversary I chose to check out some of these old Fangames and… let’s just say that something rather freaky is going on.
First game I took notice of was TRTF 2. If I remembered correctly there was a cancelled Nightmare Mode with Nightmare Version of Lockjaw. I saw a reupload of it by an account with a stingray as a profile picture and some Arabic text that says “Stingray” when translated… I remembered that was from a rumored FNAF 2 Trojan that was considered lost media. I ran the antivirus and thankfully there was none.
However, as soon as I got to the sixth night… an image of lockjaw from what was meant to be in an update showed up without eyes. There was this strange text also and the T was off-color
I also noticed when I click the T, it changed to Arabic text again and when I translated it… I got this message.
[COURTESY OF THE SMILING BEAR. HE IS THE LIGHT]
I tried more old games, anytime I tried to play them from this… thing (Yeah forgot to mentioned that I got these games from this strange account). I took some noticeable logs for some important instances.
First off was The Sea Shift at Austin’s, I checked on one of the cameras and I saw the polar bear animatronic, Wyatt, and… suddenly… it shifted to red. The GUI Vanished, and after a few seconds it closed itself. Note, last I checked Scribby hosted Sea Shift 1 on his “Fazbear Return & Sea Shift Collection”, So it was unlikely it came from him. After that a strange looked face that resembled a bird manifested and then images of Stingrays and the text “OBEY”
Second was TJOC: R, but something was off… there was only one level, The Forest One with Ignited Chica. I collected the 10 pages but the game didn’t end… if anything, a new quest titled “Feed the Bird” appeared. So I turned around and there was Ignited Chica… but something was off, it’s as if it was… melting…. The thing looked like a mass of liquid encasing an endoskeleton with a beak. It approached and… that was that.
Third File was a download of the Free-Roam BETA of Dormitabis. I knew it couldn’t be that natural, but considering I had to deal with a mystery account that isn’t even registered on any gamejolt archives. I went in, the night was rather normal, where I had to get out of the building as soon as possible… until after I completed night, and got on night two… AMIREAL Showed up, one eye was larger while the other shrunk and text reading “RESTRICTED ACCESS” showed up. Then I was in a dark hallway, the point-n-click style movement present. In the windows I saw what appeared to be the mastermind of this account. A Large Red Bear that looked like withered Freddy, only it was smiling… this wasn’t a springtrap-style smile no…. It was outstretched, two tiny eyes filled two large sockets and he just stared. I got out and then I got the Dawnbreaker Jumpscare since it appeared 6AM was reached.
Fourth was from Left to Rust, There was its infamous cutscene for completing Night 5 where Springtrap shot the player, I know, sounds like a fever dream. Except when it got to the part where it happened… nobody was there, then… after a while… I got a message in my inbox… it was that mysterious account, it simply asked one thing.
“Ready for Round 5?”
I downloaded the file, it was a copy of the cancelled TRTF 5, not a fan made, a genuinely real copy, the file name for some reason read “Smilebear”. Albeit rather corrupted, it had only one option… “Catch Me if you Can”.
Once I clicked that option, the game was…. Different, it was more or less a point-and-click free roam, but more rudimentary, either akin to the original pirate caverns or even the point-n-clicks of the 1990s. Now in the first level, Floor 1, you had to find a key to the elevator to escape. There were 4 enemies if I recall, Lockjaw, Freddy, Bonnie & Foxy. Except… They were not there in the visual sense. I heard their audio cues, looked around, and there was nobody there. After getting the key I was on Floor 2.
On Floor 2, Lockjaw & Freddy would hunt the player if their flashlight remained on. I remember that mechanic and turned off when an audio cue was heard… except I accidentally mistyped and turned it on and saw what appeared to a figure with a bear mask, just… starting at me…
Floor 3 was even more unusual. It didn’t even look like the TRTF 5 I knew, it had the lighting but the textures were… it became in a way liminal. And then… it changed.
Floor 4 was a freakshow, The only character found was the beast… which also didn’t look like herself. It was still a yellowish rabbit thing, but it appeared to resemble melted clay. I continued forward and… well…
The Thing about Floor 5 is that it looked extremely off, How off? It straight up resembled a forest, there was this ominous yellow hue and trees resembling those of cedars, minus the leaves, I walked around and saw…. Him….
It looked like Withered Freddy, except for its red, slightly more withering, sharp claws, two hollowed eye sockets which contained… okay the eyes looked a little fake, and then…. The Mouth, it resembled a crooked smile, had these strange looking teeth. It resembled one of those edits you would find on Reddit or something. I looked away from it and it covered my screen and there was this Morse Code. The game deleted itself after that so I couldn’t recover it save for a few screenshots. And they are corrupted, this was the only one I recovered and the one you may have seen
I have a feeling I either stumbled upon an Internet’s equivalent of Pandora’s Box or if this is the unknown Fangame dev trying to spook me… who knows?
