Time for another exciting addition to the game: shields! Shields will protect and block you from taking damage, until they break. But these shields are also powered with special abilities!
Also the bosses held a round-table and have come to conclusion that they will shake things up with how they come and face you, to keep you on your toes. Read below for more information on the major changes and some minor ones as well.
Shields System:
Shields in the game are meant to increase your survivability, both when they are fully charged and when they break. Most shields have a special ability when they are fully depleted that should help you out while the shield recharges back to full. Currently the amount of shields options is low, but we plan on expanding that in the future.
Boss Randomization:
While what bosses you fought was already not a set order and random to a certain extent, it wasn’t random enough. The new system randomizes what boss you face better and it will make runs more exciting as a result.
Some Minor changes:
Attack speed buff: Attack speed of all weapons have been buffed. Weapons now attack faster at lower levels so it isn’t a struggle to kill enemies earlier.
More Combo Passives: 4 new status effects combo passives have been added to the pool! Now all status effects have an associated passive that can apply another effect.
Slight weapon rework: A few weapons have been reworked to give them status effects, or add status effects to their upgrade path. This helps with certain status effects (ex. Poison) not having enough representation on weapons. With this change you should be able to consistently apply status effects, which helps for triggering certain passives.
