Danger at Freddy's is going 3D!


Something I've been thinking of for not too long is how I'm not a fan of the way the game is coded. That's why I'm remaking it in Godot.

That's right! The game is getting a fresh new look. Currently, I have the name of the game as "Danger at Freddy's Redux" because of how different it is compared the currently released demo, but that could change due to the full game not being out yet.

I do plan on reimplementing GameJolt API and modding, which Android is a possibility too .

If nobody likes this change, perhaps I'll go back. Also at the same time, nah because I'm quite proud of this new direction for the game (and Godot makes a lot of things easier).

Danger at Freddy's if it was good:

Started implementing the options menu. Unlike the original version of the game, the options menu doesn't cause your game to reset upon exiting it.

New enemy type: Withered Bonnie.

He will shoot three eye beams at the player. The eye beam attack he does is faster than Springtrap's axe throwing attack, so he can be a bit tricky to avoid.

The overworld is coming together pretty well. There's an entrance to the main game, the shop (as seen in the last post), a couple NPCs to talk to, and there's a way to unlock Springtrap now (that is Bonnie in the screenshot, not Springtrap).

Updated the options menu to have everything better organized.

Edit: Removed the Gameplay category as the options for it fit better under Controls.
