After so so long, Content Update 1 is finally released and ready to be downloaded right now!


NEW ADDITIONS

New Hypothetical "The ROARING Begins"

Based on a Pre-Chapter 3 & 4 idea of how the ROARING would be initiated. Join Kris and Susie as they prepare for the big day where all classmates show off their final group project! However, the vibes quickly shift as a worried Berdly informs the duo of a concerning realization he's made based on recent events.

Featuring a whopping 11 tracks created by the incredibly talented Sooski and MagicFroge, this hypothetical is sure to send you on a rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish!

Lore Cleanup

In the original release of the DELTARUNE - Hypothesis demo, the lore for Dr Hypoaster and the FRAGMENTATION NETWORK were quite foggy and unfocused. After a thorough polish of his goggles, every single Log has been completely revamped and updated to tell the overarching story of DELTARUNE - Hypothesis a lot more clearly!

Additionally, this update introduces two new VIDEO logs. Get to see the Doctor and his workstation as he lives his "day to day?" life and experiments with both his world and the SIMULATION!

New Intro Sequence

As shown off as a WIP version previously, the intro sequence for DELTARUNE - Hypothesis has also been completely overhauled and revamped to fit with the new narrative! These changes also include:

  • Creating your own vessel avatar

  • Giving it a name

These will be used to represent YOU in hypotheticals (And maybe other places in the future..?)

Music Player

To coincide with all the amazing tracks introduced in this update, the main menu now includes a "Music Player" section! Feel free to peruse every single track featured in DELTARUNE - Hypothesis and listen to them to your hearts content!

The Anomalies

What? Anomalies? I don't know what you're talking about. You could 100% the game and nothing related to "Anomalies" would crop up anywhere, you must be hearing things.


Adjustments To Existing Content

Every single hypothetical has had a huge wave of polish and tweaks to keep them up to date and high quality, these changes include (but are not limited to):

Shared

  • A new disclaimer screen before every hypothetical that includes warnings for how things may be written, what may or may not be included, warnings etc.

  • The Pause Screen (Yes, if you weren't aware, you can press ESC to pause the game.) has had its UI updated to fit the game better.

  • New SHORTCUT System, lets you skip to notable parts of each individual hypothetical, unlocked by completing a hypothetical once.

A Prophecy Foretold

  • Cleaned up much of the dialogue in this hypothetical.

  • Added a few extra/missing characters and interactables.

  • Reworked the cutscene after the cut from Kris preparing to seal the grand fountain to include a bit more of Lancer and Ralsei interacting.

Free Drinks

  • A bunch of smaller tweaks to the battle system and internal code for how it works, very little changes visually.

Overworlds and Ogres

  • Did a second pass of the dialogue, and implemented missing text features.

  • Added new sets of dialogue for each individual ending you can achieve.

Taking Shelter

  • Adjusted the palette for the night time section to match the palette seen in DELTARUNE Chapters 3 & 4.

  • Tweaked the text interactable hitboxes in the shelter itself.

Concluding Melody

  • Changed the credits themselves showing the actual credits from DELTARUNE to a list of the cast of characters ingame.

  • Completely redid the ending cutscene to implement some of the additions seen in DELTARUNE Chapters 3 & 4

Also probably a lot more other changes across all the hypotheticals I've forgotten about.

April Fools 2025

  • The Sheriff Longshot battle from the April Fools 2025 "Playtest" is now playable ingame as part of the extras menu, including a new stats screen at the end of the fight and award for completing it.


EXTRA

  • The game window can now be scaled between 1280 x 720 to 640 x 480, to make the game not be cut off at certain resolutions. In the future I hope to find what was causing this originally and fix it for good.
