WELCOME
Welcome to DELTARUNE: RESURGENT STAR, a new journey set in an alternate universe based on Toby Fox’s Deltarune. Its world is full of new and familiar faces and places alike. Our main character, Vesper, lives in the town of Old Home with their family. When Vesper and Noelle enter the school library to work on their group project, they discover a new world…a Dark World. In this mysterious world they meet a man known as Wing, and the three of them work together to investigate the Dark World phenomenon and seal the dark fountains.
HERE WE ARE
While I can’t show off Old Home just yet, let me lay out some of the things you will find in town;
Apartment complex
Abandoned hotel
Train station
School and library
Hospital
A food court
And more.
The game begins in Vesper’s flat in the apartment complex. From there you will go to the school, and eventually discover the first dark world in the library. The plans for the game as of now is to have it split into 3 chapters, with each chapter spanning 3 dark worlds each. Who knows where the next dark fountain will appear?
CHARACTERS
I’d like to better introduce the game’s 3 main characters, so I’ve made a bio for each one;

DEVELOPMENT
As for progress on the game, our focus thus far has been on ironing out the game’s story and progression, and creating assets needed for the game. Development has been slow, but we are getting there, and we hope to have a playable demo in the future. The game’s settings and characters will be different to Deltarune and Undertale, though some things will be familiar.
As mentioned earlier, we’re planning 3 chapters spanning 9 total dark worlds (subject to change). Our next step in development is to start work on the first demo, which will cover the game’s first dark world. In between now and then, we also plan to reveal even more, so keep an eye out.
We’ve also decided to open dev team applications! If you’re interested and would like to contribute, we are currently looking for the following positions;
Sprite Artist - Ability to sprite in the Deltarune style is preferred.
Concept Artist - Mainly character concept art.
Graphic Designer - Developing graphics assets for use outside of the game.
Assistant Writer - Assistance in writing the game's story.
Character Writer - Writing the game's characters and dialogue.
Music Composer- Creating music for the game.
To apply, simply fill out the application form here.
The current dev team are listed on the Gamejolt, and they have each written a brief introduction explaining their involvement and experience in this area:
Vale
Hi, I'm Vale. I've been working on this game idea for over a year now and I'm glad to have gotten this far. I do a lot of spriting for the game, and I also am working on programming the game myself. I'm the main writer for the game as well. I hope people enjoy seeing what we've been working on!
Ethan
yo, im ethan, or nasus_elyob, and ive been working on this game since it was conceived over a year ago now. I'm the main/co-composer (along with alex/$erpent), additional writer and extra spriter. I've been releasing/making music for almost 3 years under nasus_elyob, as well as studying music technology at college, and this is hopefully my first step into becoming involved in the games industry. I’m looking forward to working with more people!
Felix
hey! i'm felix and i really like spriting and making concept art. i love seeing the progress of this game and im one of the spriters (along with ethan and vale). i've also been working on it since it was first thought of by vale, back in october 2021. i would say i'm really experienced with making sprites - i've been doing it for 4 years now and it's really become my strong point. unfortunately i've never actually properly got my art out there for other people to see and play around with which is what i really hope i can get out of working with this game ;)
Alex
Hello! My name is Alex and I am working as the co-composer alongside Ethan for Resurgent Star. Undertale and Deltarune have been two of my biggest musical inspirations, and ever since the day Undertale came out, I have been making music in an attempt to one day make something that could stand with those two games. I consider this to be a glorious step forward in that regard. I hope you all enjoy this game and my music for it!
LASTLY
Thank you for reading this far. It might be a while before the next post/reveal, but stay tuned!
IT ALL SEEMS
FAMILIAR
DOES IT NOT?
A REFLECTION
OF ANOTHER WORLD
MUCH LIKE THE DARK WORLD ITSELF
DO NOT LET THAT
BLIND YOU
NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS
EVERYTHING WILL
BECOME CLEAR SOON
