So, to begin... Let us discuss Underswap. PopcornPr1nce made an AU based on the idea, "What if these characters swapped roles?" The substitutions are pretty simple... Asgore and Toriel switch, as do Sans and Papyrus. These swaps were established in 2015 and were regarded as canon for that AU, even after PopcornPr1nce departed from the community and handed over the AU's rights to the community years ago.

Deltarune's V1 Demo was released in 2018, and while it was not as popular as UNDERTALE, it was still well-liked. It introduced new characters, revived existing ones, and generated a few AUs of its own... Here's where Deltaswap comes in. According to potentially outdated sources, Deltaswap was created by a person known online as TheEccentric1851.

They were clearly a big fan of Deltarune and wanted to create an AU focused on swapping roles, similar to Underswap. During this time, roles were extremely limited, and UNDERSWAP was an AU that was so rotten to the core that people didn't want to pay attention to it. Furthermore, the Undertale Fandom began to fight amongst themselves to maintain the distinction between Canon and Fanon.

The role swaps for Deltaswap, at the time, made sense. Kris and Susie swap, Ralsei and Lancer swap, and so on. However, Deltarune now has four chapters and more and more important characters have been established, the role swaps within the AU has shown it's age.

Before we continue, here were the roles as established back in 2021 according to some wikis on the AU:

• Kris <> Noelle (or Kris <> Susie)

• Susie <> Berdly (or Noelle <> Berdly)

• Ralsei <> Lancer

• Rouxls Kaard <> Seam (or Seam <> Jevil)

• King <> Jevil (or Rouxls Kaard <> King)

• Queen <> Spamton

• GIGA Queen <> Spamton NEO

• Swatch <> Tasque Manager

• Asgore <> Rudy Holiday

• Toriel <> Mayor Holiday

• Asriel <> Dess

Do you see some of the problems? Some of these swaps have either shown age, doesn't make sense to the Delta Rune legend, or simply has been swapped out with other swaps to the point where you don't know which swap is actually canon in ACTUAL Deltaswap. On top of that, the AU has not been updated to include Chapters 3 and 4.

The biggest problem is the Ralsei and Lancer swap. Ralsei has been proven to be the Darkner embodiment of Asriel based on how you interact with him. So, wouldn't it make sense to replace him with Monster Kid and simply name him "Nosterm" or something?

I love Underswap AU as a concept that has helped many Undertale fans that wanted to test their writing abilities and experimenting on the characters, and I hate to see it's Deltarune counterpart age. So why won't anyone fix this problem? Because Deltaswap as an AU doesn't really have much takes on it, especially with using Canon Underswap ideas.
