DEV DIARY:

FIXED:

-Infection System (Multiple instances of the virus are no longer created in a single character, so the poison will only affect the character once and prevent possible crashes)
-Soundtrack Entities (I still need to update some npcs that use this system but all in all it works much better).

IMPROVED:

-UI and Main Menu (Now the main font of the game is the same font as the title of the game (without the space background) which will give it a less basic style).

ADDING:

-Combined animations:
Cutscenes where the characters must press specific keys at a given time, they can be interrupted if one of the characters is hit by an external actor, the player with the highest score is the one who is victorious in the cutscene) (Basic example: A goku throws a kamehameha at another goku and he tries to return it, then both players must click multiple times and the fastest one can perform the attack). Obviously the AI has the ability to do this, and about the score, that's the best way to recreate this in multiplayer (multiplayer DOES work, just the recent update has issues with connection due to find match is receiving information from other games since it uses the test ID for steam online, so I am making a system to validate each server and see if it is compatible with the game, actually I already did it but I have to test it)

-More interaction (The Trevor's Hell basics):
I will be doing this because since this game will have a Mod Kit, I want to make it easier for future modders, and also because I would like to recreate the game within MUC so that it can work in multiplayer.

-Invasion Gamemode:
It is similar to the cooperative mode of the previous version but with more options, although it is very likely that it will be added in another update since there is still no way to complete a match. Within this mode is where the construction system, crafting, and vehicles (all of which are done) will be best revealed.

REMAINING OBJECTIVES:

No place-
Try to make more mods and try different ways to make them in order to help future modders with new mechanics (which I have to do right now because after releasing the mod toolkit I want to avoid very massive updates).

1- Improve Sandbox:
The sandbox mode in multiverse for now is a completely empty mode, my idea is that it is the mode where you can manipulate everything, and indirectly create your own game mode.

2- Add campaign system:
This campaign system will work to create stories that you can share with your friends, of all the things I will do for the game this will be very difficult because when this update comes out, there will be a small part of the official campaign, and it will also come with 3 important systems within this mode (the skill tree system from the level, and the customization system).

3- Steam Release:
I want to make this clear, this game will be completely free, without lootboxes, microtransactions, paid skins or all those things that personally ruin the experience. The game will be free because the way the game is made there wouldn't be much left for a paid game. Obviously the game on steam by default will only have the two default characters that appear in this version along with the Space and Test Map maps, then the other content will be part of the Workshop, where you will decide what to download to form the best version of your game, basically this is M.U.G.E.N in 3d, since the idea would be to create your multiverse

4- Release Mod Toolkit:
I have worked on too many mechanics specifically for this, I want that when the user wants to do something a little more "advanced" they have the main mechanics by default and with that they can build their mod quickly and easily. Although obviously if something is wrong you should read the Toolkit documentation or if it is not there in the Unreal Engine 4 documentation.

Don't worry if it seems too much, it's not really as complicated as it seems since the most complicated mechanics are from the campaign, but still everything was already planned from the beginning and I've already practiced with this kind of thing. Obviously it will take time to polish everything but despite the fact that the game is free, I want to provide the best possible to the user, this is not my first or second video game, I have already worked on 5 different projects of which only came to light The Trevor's Hell and this would already be the sixth that I do, so this is the game that I always wanted to do, and I don't care about the repercussion it has, I always say, if I don't do it, who else will?

Really thank you very much for supporting me, we will see you in the next Dev Diary

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
