Today marks day 1 of development for the Roxy Raceway game! This is definitely going to be an ambitious project as I'm using this project to learn Unreal Engine for the first time.
So here is what we accomplished today!
- Created A Discord & Enabled Server Subscriptions To Fund The Project With Additional Perks (https://discord.gg/costi)
- Artwork Creation has begun. We have several artists working on background art, cart designs and customization, and working to create an overall visually appealing aesthetic to the entire game.
- Physical Game Development has begun as well. Starting with the basics in Unreal Engine I have begun a learning and developing process to start the game. Getting familiar with the program, learning to import assets and how to use some free ones, and working towards getting something playable.
Plans for the next week of development are pretty simple. By the end of the week, I want to have working menus, and a very basic cart driving experience. Likely all untextured with no actual map to navigate yet but having something playable by the end of the week would be great. More updates coming soon! Thank you to everyone who has shown interest in this project and I am very excited to make it happen!

Did you know that today is #InternationalJazzDay? π·π
No? π― Well, we couldn't pass up this date!
And what better to celebrate this day than #Pecaminosa #OST? π·
Let us know what you think about it and have a great weekend!
Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.
"Thanks guys for endless hours of fun." π

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.
We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!
