Development Update

Hello everyone.

I feel inclined to make some sort of update, since it has been a while since my last one (especially one containing an actual game update). My apologies for not having anything still, but allow me to explain briefly what’s going on.

As I mentioned in my previous update, the game has entered into a different state of development. I’m done (basically) with all the core mechanics and level features and have now begun working on level creation, systems, menus, and other such things. These elements don’t really require direct testing too often, which is why I’ve kept builds private for now. That said, the game is actually beginning to seam together now with proper structured screens going from one thing to another. It’s making the game feel quite complete already and is a better reflection on how the game will function when it’s finished.

That said, that’s why I’m taking so long to update here. I’m waiting until a great many things are in place so your next session with playing the game will be a more whole experiance (Heck, I’m considering getting audio in place too). The game is by no means finished yet and won’t be by the time I update next either, but you’ll be able to get a much better impression on how much of the game is going to be set up. In other words, the next update should be pretty major.

I don’t believe there’s anything else I need to mention. Thanks for reading and keep following for when this mythical update comes.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

I worked so hard to get all four of them to the end safely, but then...

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM

OK, this starts to be too tricky puzzle already :D

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
