DEVLOG #0 ¦ THE PAST & FUTURE.


WHERE WE WERE?

It's been a year since we posted anything, and 2 years since the appearance of this game on gamejolt.

So, what have we managed to make while we were away?

Well, not a lot, really. I have been busy working with the engine that this game will run on. Some artwork and concepts were also made, but nothing too important. A few weeks ago, we have decided on a complete overhaul of the game: new story, designs, and a brand new page (we are still working on it).

So, from this point on, this game is no longer what it used to be.


WHAT TO EXPECT?

We are planning an overworld sequence, new enemies, and of course, the battle with sans himself. The game now takes place on the surface, in a place called Exordia - it is the forest that surrounds mountain Ebbot, inhabited by the Monsterkind.

This game is straying away from the edgier nature it once had, and we're attempting to write a story that is more emotionally mature and original.

It's pretty hard to approximate the release date of a game so early in development, so to make sure to not exaggerate your expectations, we can only state that it should take around 2 years.


HAVE YOU GOT ANYTHING TO SHOW?

In terms of anything major, no, not yet - there's nothing to really show.

However, one thing we can show right now is the design for sans.

We will also occasionally post artwork if we have any, along with other stuff across development. The first (actual) devlog will be released in a month or two, by that time I should be able to finish coding the engine.
