Howdy yall! Welcome to the first of what will hopefully be semi-monthly dev logs! Runnin on a bit of a tight schedule so I'll try and make this quick, should be a nice way to start things off and clear a few things up. Note I also ain't the best with announcements or formal long writin stuff like this so apologies for awkwardness and if I come across as your average businessman lol.
Context
I know quite a few people readin this are comin from gamejolt and are or will be very confused goin in so I'll try my best to provide some small insight. In case you haven't read the page yet, this is a fangame of the fnaf fan comic Children Rekindled, being set in it's story though of course unnoficial. Although it takes quite a big amount of stylistic deviations and is still generally understandable without context I still reccomend you read the comic first especially since it's a great read! If you're one of the people who's been in the know about this for a while now (been sharin concepts for this game in private and on twitter) you probably already have a good idea what to expect, but there's been a huge chunk of plan changes and very much still secret stuff behind the scenes so yeah yall should be on the lookout for surprises methinks :P
What To Expect?
Jank. A lot of jank. I think it'd be disingenuous to not get that cleared off right out the gate lol. This is very much the first game I'm properly releasin in a GOOD while and my budget's practically non existent so do not be remotely surprised if I get into complications down the line (with the games engine limitations it'll have to be split into three files, that's the level of DIY shenanigans we're talkin). That bein said I'm confident that it'll at least be a fun time and i swear on my life this game's comin out one way or another, if it doesn't you have the full legal right to kill me. As for the plans in question, the game is decently sized, with your typical five night loadout, plenty of story and cutscenes, extras and some cool custom night stuff for when the main course is done. Nuthin too big, nuthin too little.
The main focus is definetly the gameplay, it's been through a huge ton of changes, revisions and adjustments throughout the months and I think what's in store is goin to be incredibly fun, decently unique and very challenging but fair.
Although I admit the art department in terms of what's shown so far ain't my best the stuff yet to be shown is definetly gonna be a huge improvement.

Story is nuthin too complex, especially if you've read the comic, it'll be a good mix of charm with quite a bit of serious moments while still bein self contained enough to not fiddle too much with official stuff. As I said before it'll take a lot of stylistic and tonal deviations, pretty much bein the polar opposite of what the comics goin for.
I want this game to just be a silly lil spinoff story bein done just for fun, so it'll be treated and I hope you can see it as such :P
Progress
Aight, enough with the promotional talk, let's get down to business. After a good month and half roadmappin and preperations I'm pleased to say the game's officially started proper development! I'm quite the busy wreck so it'll probably take a while for the gears to start properly turnin but stuff is already gettin started. Been goin through a jugglin act of findin time for production and chores on my end while still findin time to get small things like concept art done in the middle of busywork. Speakin of which:
Above all else I hope this project will be a nice way to pay respect to a small sub community that means a lot to me, even if all things considered its pretty small I wanted to dedicate this game first and foremost to you guys.
