So I'm finally doing a devlogs for Kingdom-Heroes!
This may help you to understand the development progress of the game and the content that is being added to the game.

So I’m finally doing a devlogs for Kingdom-Heroes!
This may help you to understand the development progress of the game and the content that is being added to the game.

​First of all I will start with the changes that are not directly visible to the player, but are at least as important to the game as the visible content changes.
Invisible changes can be changes of any sort and size. Examples for those are performance improvements (altough they are noticable to some extend).
Another example would be bug fixes or balancing. Those points take time to implement into the game. But dont understand me wrong! It’s very important and without those changes the game as it is at this moment would not be possible.

But there are also changes that everyone will notice. I admit those things are the most fun to make and therefore I’m taking my time to introduce them.
​One of them is the introduction of workshops for all of the enemie AIs. Creating Textures or creating the actual
objects are by far not the most work. Many people may ask now : So what takes so much work and time then?
​My answer is : The most work and time is being consumed by making content like the workshop interactible.
The more content your game has, the more interactions you have to program for each and every object in the
game.​ How do all the units attack the workshop? How much damage do they deal? How do I make the workers
to work at the workshop? What happens when the workshop gets destroyed? There are many more scenarios
you have to think about when adding content to the game.

​But with the time you will learn how to use already implementet systems to save time when adding more content
to the game. With this technique you can also avoid some annoying bugs and glitches that can happen when you are creating an entirely new system.

So what does this mean for the progress of update for BETA v0.2? The things I implemented so far are mostly invisble changes. So if you would test the game right now, you would not see much progress. So far I’ve fixed bugs with the windowed system and synchronisation. But now is the time for more and bigger content so I hope I can soon bring you some news about content of Kingdom-Heroes BETA v0.2!
