It is a pleasure for me to make this devlog in celebrating of the Greenlit AU's third birthday! That's right, this AU has been ongoing for three years, and the game began just around a month before it would reach that point. I'd like to thank everyone who gave their support for the AU, from its humble beginnings to the state it is becoming now. Now then, let's go over some progress!
Starting simple is the night intro sequence, which feels fitting because...you already know. Here's a showcase:
This is meant to be a loose recreation of the title card sequence from Sonic Colors, used whenever you would start an act. In the context of FNaS1G, it is utilized to showcase which night you're on, while also keeping some traits of its basis I considered necessary. I had fun doing this recreation, especially because it helped establish the idea that this game is based off of "modern" material.
Next up is...ACTUAL gameplay progress?! Yes, really! Go see for yourself:
What you saw is a work-in-progress, as evident by the fact it was full of placeholder sprites, which have come in handy! They really help keep development going, instead of tiring me out early on. So far, various basic functions of the office have come to life, but I won't spill the beans on how they're exactly meant to work quite yet...
Thank you for reading through this devlog, and again, I am proud to celebrate the Greenlit AU's 3rd birthday in this manner. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a finalized design for Clone Mario in by the day, but I would rather not rush myself. The next devlog will most likely go over Clone Mario's final design and/or more progress on the gameplay. See you next post!
