Hey yall, welcome back to yet another devlog. before i start, I would like to thank yall for the over 30 likes last devlog! sence yall liked swagman so much, i thought why not give him his own devlog, featuring a minor rework to him, and all his customizations to help him annihilate the opponent with swag (and teamwork!).
Swagman- thought arguable one of my favorite cards I've made so far, he had this mechanic where he could remove 2 "cool" counters to not die from customization, which imo was kinda boring. so instead, I replaced it with a one per turn effect that allows him to kill a card by paying a amount of "cool" counters by the amount of jp +1(basically the characters "strength" in this game). but, to reflect his gameplay in TMN, you HAVE to trigger this effect every 2 turns or less, sence if you dont, he just dies. to comensate for this heavy downside, i knocked down his power cost by 10%. this gives him this tug-o-war effect where you buildup a bunch of cool counters by playing cards, then either spending them or watching your funny cool dude self detonate in your face.
Swagalicious- this card can act as weird support for swagman or for more general use. basically, it first attached/augments itself to a card, giving that card a cool counter. while augmented, the other card has swag in there name and can remove a cool counter to reactivate a once per turn effect. this allows swagman to reuse his once per turn if he has the cool counters to pay for it, or can be put onto any other card to trigger THERE effect another time (thought can only be used once due to the lack of "cool" counters this card gives). this also allows other cards to use...
Endless swag- this kinda scary card allows any card with "swag" in their name to reactivate (which swagalicious gives to the card it augments), allowing for it to attack or deactivate for an effect again. it also has an effect where at the end of your turn, you may bring it back to your hand by paying 50%, then you gets 10% for each [abstract] card you have. its secondary effect is heavily supported by the whole abstract playstyle of spamming cheap, weak cards out that flood your board.
Eye on the swag- for how MUCH is happening on that art, its a pretty simple card. either it gives 1 cool counter to a card, or give 2 if the card already had one. its just an easy way to get cool counters quickly for swagalicious, and can save swagman in a pinch.
