As many of you noticed, things went quiet for a few days. We hit a major technical wall that nearly ended Silence Below Disney.
The Hardware Crisis
My primary workstation, a 7-year-old Surface Pro, officially gave out. A professional diagnostic confirmed the SSD was dying and the OS was corrupted beyond repair. This was the only Windows machine I had to run Clickteam Fusion
The Rescue & Hiatus
I had to perform an emergency manual backup of all .mfa and 3D project files before the drive failed completely. While the data is safe, the project will soon enter a 3 month hiatus because my school MacBook simply couldn't handle the hardware demands of the new Inkblot designs.
Getting Back on Track
To get us back into development, I’ve been working to raise $280 for a used gaming laptop by selling my Switch and other gear. This upgrade is essential for:
Finalizing the AI and office mechanics.(I’m assisting our lead coder)
Allowing me to move from a supportive role to actively assisting with the coding.
We are pushing past the "2016 era" limitations and moving into a more powerful development phase. Thank you for sticking with us through the silence, we’re almost ready to jump back in.
