He failed to extract a machine, so he started banging his head on the glass out of anger. He did it a little too hard and the glass broke and killed him.
After the ichor entered his wounds and did its thing, he "woke up" still crashing out and proceeded to destroy the machine further, tearing off the valve, kicking the bottom, throwing the entire top half, and then kicking the top.
I love the little quirks feature so much because tf you mean E is living on this bright green ass island, alone with his husband, no responsibilities, has a romantic ass wishing fountain, is well fed, yet he always storms around and pouts
