Hello everybody,
I'm here to show you guys some progress that I feel has been LONG overdue. Sorry for that! But we're here now and I have some SPICY stuff to show you guys!
(very sorry for the compression and the quick speed, trust me! It pisses me off too!)
This is the complete office!
I feel that this office very unique but also reminiscent of the original game's office! However, before we get into SPECIFICS, let's just talk about some of the stuff that's actually in the office since there's a LOT to discuss.
But, before we get into that, I would just like to clarify:
Although the DLC has a CLASSIC NIGHT,
I CANNOT KEEP THE ORIGINAL MECHANICS FROM THE ORIGINAL GAME.
It is forbidden to do so. The game not be Radiance level "Classic Modes" but first of all, just putting the original game in my game and calling it a "DLC" is boring as hell. And also, if you REALLY want a TRUE classic mode,
play the ORIGINAL GAME
Good? Alright.
First of all, you have a flashlight instead of the light buttons. It's unique enough, and I also just don't mess with light buttons, I think it's just dumb. The doorways are purposely PITCH BLACK so that the flashlight can be necessary and useful!
Additionally, there is no laser button on the vent. This was traded out for the laser pointer mechanic which I think is a VERY good substitute from just a standard door. Plus, it blends in well for Meow and Cosa. (and maybe more ooooooh) And also, I just never really liked the whole laser grid idea, I'm sorry Mida please don't skin me alive ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
And, arguably the BIGGEST change, the front door is interactable! This was easily one of my FAVORITE changes to the DLC as it opens the way for LOTS of A.I and mechanic opportunities! It lets the player interact with the environment. This also means I scrapped the shock button, sorry shock button fans.
With that, there are also some animation changes too! If you've noticed, the security door AND the front door don't have a solid fluid animation. I decided to do something unique and new where there's only two frames for them, one where they're open, and one where they are closed. To make it look stylish, however, I added a small fade out transition to make it look smoooooth. Let me know how you like it!
Now, let's get to the interesting stuff!
There IS an inventory system in the game! Kinda
You are given 3 ITEMS, the flashlight, the camera system and the laser pointer!
For the flashlight, do I really need to explain? Nope! Because I already did above!
For the camera system, I mean, what do you want me to say? It's a camera system.
For the laser pointer, I mean, it's pretty easy, when Cosa or Meow is in your vent or in your office, flash it in their eyes, and they go away.
HOOOOOLLLLLY LLLOOOOOORDDD THIS IS SO BORINNGGGGGG, do people even read these?? I HATE WRITING THESE!! Well, we know why you're here.
MEOW'S MECHANIC:
I know you only scrolled down just to see Meow's mechanic, you're not slick buddy. I bet this big ahhh heading got your attention, huh?
Well, you should be! Because Meow's mechanic is REALLY cool!
Well, to start off, Meow starts off in the BACKSTAGE and has 4 PHASES before he goes into a ventilation shaft that goes you know where
Once Meow is in the vent, he'll come over to your vent and you flash your laser pointer over his eyes for a short amount of time! When you see both of his eye burn out and it makes a sound, he will go away!
But, another cool thing about Meow's mechanic is that, if you CAN'T hold your light on his eye while he's in the vent and he gets in your office, you won't die! Your game is NOT over if he gets in, here is where his SECOND mechanic comes in.
So, it may be hard to tell, but Meow acts like the one mickey character from Oblitus Casa character in Night 5 (I know, so original) however, it takes MUCH longer to get rid of him. Additionally, he can appear outside both doors, which means you need to open them which could result in the death from another character! Sooo, it's best to make that NOT happen!
And that's about it, let me know how you guys feel about everything!!
