"Just because a company takes down fan games does NOT mean they hate the fans" Like, Nintendo for instance, takes down fangames but appreciates all the support they get. I understand why they take them down because it hurts their reputation. Think of it: Nintendo's games are worth money, correct? and fan games are mostly free.
