DOOM 2 No Rest for the Living is perhaps the best official DOOM episode I've played.


I FUCKING LOVE THE CHALLENGE IN THIS WAD! It doesn't do any bullshit at all in any of the maps. The enemy AI is actually a problem instead of just being sprinkled around like in DOOM 2 or late DOOM 1. The maps are designed in a way where the enemies would always find you one way or another instead of aimlessly wondering around and as a bonus the maps look so fantastic and properly uses the DOOM textures unlike most of DOOM 2. You know the WAD's good when it makes you fear enemies like the Hell Knight. I am STUNNED shocked even on how this WAD got so many things about DOOM right including did somethings better and not once did it got bad.
