The Story of Prophet Ibrahim
According to Islamic belief:
Prophet Ibrahim had a dream in which God (Allah) commanded him to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) as a test of faith.
Ibrahim told his son, and Ismail willingly agreed, showing his own devotion to God.
Just as Ibrahim was about to carry out the sacrifice, God intervened and provided a ram to be sacrificed instead.
This act symbolized obedience, trust, and submission to God's will.
Eid al-Adha was established by Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) after the migration to Medina.
It became one of the two official Eids in Islam (the other being Eid al-Fitr, after Ramadan)
