Years in the future, but not many...
The Embodiment of Evil has attacked the peaceful Earth. A group of young heroes have gone through long adventure, successfully defeating the bloodthirsty demon. But their brave leader, after returning to his hometown, received an unpleasant note from the culprit of new menace.
Young boy hesitantly took advantage of the phase distorter, which was previously used under the direction of experienced scientist. He couldn't even imagine what the consequences of unprepared time travel would be. He started the machine and flew off to another dimension.
After the boy woke up from dizzying experiment, he found himself in some sort of laboratory. There were blueprints of some strange constructions, including the same machine he used to warp here. Suddenly, someone entered the lab. It was a tall skeleton in a gray lab coat. Surprisingly, the boy recognized the clothes of the monster, and looked on his own arms. He was also looking boney. At the same time, the scientist had the same feeling toward the newcomer. They were long-lost relatives...
With his new identity, the boy took the name that sounds similar to the original one. And so, the history of Sans the Skeleton began. He reunited with his own father and plunged into a whole new world; a place called the Underground. He also got a new friend from Snowdin Town: the so-called “Great Papyrus”, the foster son of an elite royal guardian.
Months in the future, the parents of both skeletons have disappeared without a trace. Sans moved to Papyrus’s house, so the two orphaned children can help each other with their advantages and disadvantages. Despite their occasional disagreements, they were very friendly, so most passers-by could tell they were brothers.
Sans also moved all his private experiments into the basement. One day, when he entered the workshop, he found two mysterious circular slabs. One was khaki with a black skull and another one was cream with white wings. The slabs also had laconic notes: “For Sans” and “For Papyrus”.
Years in the future, but not many, a human child had fallen in the underground. When the skeleton brothers met them, Papyrus did not realize they were human at first. The visitor was acting weird, completely ignoring Papyrus’s challenges and shambling with dusty hands. On the outskirts of Snowdin, Papyrus met them with altruistic speech, thinking the human needs help, but was slain in one hit.
Suddenly, Papyrus woke up. He was dressed in creamy, semi-ridiculous clothes, similar to his original outfit. Sans told Papyrus that he had a dream after an exhausting costume party with his friends. He was told to pack his belongings, because the brothers would have to move soon.
After some time, Sans has returned, dressed in long khaki robe. He and Papyrus went down to the basement, where the fresh-repaired phase distorter was located. The skeleton brothers entered the machine with all boxes, and warped into yet another dimension...
