Ermmmm… so how is the game going to play? (Explaining what kind of gameplay you can expect from this remake)


Exactly what it says on the tin. This post, we’re gonna talk about what you can expect in terms of gameplay from this remake. We won’t reveal everything of course; The 8 new characters for instance will be under wraps for now, but you will see them sooner or later.

As of now though, let’s talk about slendy himself, as he’s basically the character the whole gameplay is centered around.

How he works is simple enough; he’ll move from camera to camera to your “office”, and when he’s at your door, shut it in his face. Simple, right?

Well, there’s a bit of a problem there. The whole thing about slenderman is that you aren’t supposed to look at him. Thus, the sticking point; you’re supposed to track slenderman’s movements without looking directly at him, and if you look at him too much, you’re dead. You also need to make sure you can be extra prepared for when he’s at your door, as he can kill you quicker there than if you look at him too much on the cameras. There are ways for you to track him without looking at him, either by checking cameras with extra interference, and maybe there’ll be a subtle sound cue for how close he is to your office, but the point remains; Do NOT look at him. Use whatever information you can gather from around his location, but try to look at him for as little as possible.

Also your door functions under fnac logic where if it’s closed for too long it’ll automatically open and stay that way for a bit.

That’ll be it for now, though. We hope to see you soon when the demo releases. We’re kind of moving a bit slower for now after finishing etf, but we DO have big plans for this game. Stick around…

If anyone's noticed any bugs / mistakes / problems in the game, please tell us.

We want to keep patching to a minimum, but we're also not going to ignore problems, so we're hoping to get most of the problems fixed with a single patch.
