Happy belated 10 year anniversary to Evilsmurfs!
Over 10 years ago, on February 15, 2015, my brother made these small "games" after school, sending them over Skype to our friends. Emboldened by it, I decided to join in, making some sequels to what he had started. They weren't too serious, but it was still loads of fun to work on these silly little experiences that implied a bigger, interconnected world behind them. These games were the Sackboygame and Evilsmurfs series, as well as all of the other spin offs, tie-ins, and experiences that shared their spirit.

And this gnome - the eventual face of our Skype group - became the face of it all. Yes, this is the original GNOMESCREAM logo, finally recovered after all these years. Perfect timing, right?
And 10 years later? Some of us are still making games... albeit at a much slower, careful pace. Recently, I've remastered the final Evilsmurfs title in the main series - Evilsmurfs 6 - to create Evilsmurfs 6 Deluxe, taking what I've learned through my 13 years of experience and to make the "best one" the best it could be. While work on the final campaign has been slow, I've also taken the time to begin working on an original concept that has been over 7 years in the making!
Here's another previously lost teaser / promo image for Evilsmurfs 2 or Evilsmurfs 3 - we sure did end up handling a lot more!

So from the bottom of my heart - to both my friends and fans of these silly little games alike, thank you for sticking around for all the fun!

But that's not all I've been working on. In celebration of this specific anniversary, I've decided that now would be a better time than ever to revisit those old games and bring them back up to speed!
Introducing Evilsmurfs Saga!
Experience the classic Evilsmurfs saga all in one place, rebuilt from the ground up in GameMaker: Studio! The mainline games from 1 - 5, including all 3 episodes of Evilsmurfs 4, and the spin-off titles Evilsmurfs 2: Prologue and PoopahJumper are all in one place, now featuring additional polish, better controls, and quality-of-life tweaks, while retaining the original vision and feel of each game!
But that's not all - now all the games have their own spin-off title! Experience the aftermath of the first battle in Evilsmurfs: The Bridge, or journey through 3 separate- yet connected - stories in the Evilsmurfs 4: The Wilderness trilogy, or see the events that lead up to Evilsmurfs 5 in Evilsmurfs 5: Coleman.
If you're looking for the best way to play through the classics, consider giving Evilsmurfs Saga a try!
And until next time - where I'll likely be announcing the release of the final Evilsmurfs 6 Deluxe update, I'll see ya when I see ya!
