Exciting Gravel! (Oh... and saving and loading)

Changes:

  • Rudimentary save/load functionality

  • Gravel item

  • Use gravel to place rubble

  • Craft gravel

  • Durability of stone shovel and hammer doubled

  • Fixed bug in craft menu causing lockup when no crafting recipes were being shown.

Gravel!

Okay. Perhaps it is not the most exciting thing in the world, but today I bring you the gravel update.

When clearing rubble with a shovel, you get gravel.

When using gravel on grass, you get rubble.

You can also use the hammer on stone to make gravel. Currently it is 1 stone plus 1 hammer = 1 gravel, but it seems to me that this should be a multiplier instead, so I’ll put that on the list for next time.

Save/Load!

This is more interesting, but a bit more clunky.

To save the game, press “S”. It will download a JSON file.

To load the game, drag the JSON file onto the game, and it will load.

You can, in theory, mess with the JSON file to make scenarios/cheat/whatever. Go ape. You might also make it completely invalid, and seize up the game. Go ape with that too.
