What does "REDUX" mean? What are these games?
re·dux /ˈrēˌdəks/
adjective
Brought back; RevivedThe REDUX games are a series of FNaF Remaster Projects that aim to make high quality customizable remasters of the core series. You can modify the game to your hearts content, or chose to have a vanilla experience. It's up to you!
Redux adds new ways to control the game, you can use a gamepad or your keyboard along with the original control scheme
Redux features original music, new renders, and new gameplay modes.
What have you made so far?
NOTE- This list will continuously update until release
Last Updated 11/3/2024
The entirety of the original Five Nights at Freddys, perfectly recoded from Clickteam's Visual Editor to GML
Native 16:9 support (upgraded from 480p to 1080p)
Added complete controller support, with buttons that change depending on the controller being used (Steam Deck, Xbox, Playstation, Switch, & Generic Gamepads are all supported) + Vibration (works on most controllers)
Unlike the original, in most cases, every animatronic will appear simultaneously on the cameras at the same time.(This doesn't occur in the original due to "sprite priority")
The code is much more optimized, converting a visual based system to hard-code improves the processing speed required to run the game.
First time players are requried to verified they own FNaF with a file integrity system (renaming an exe file will not work)
"Added Horror" option added - adds some spooky elements to enhance gameplay, Bonnie and Chica are now animated when the approach your door (IN REAL TIME OMGOMGOMGOMG)
New Visual Effects
Toggleable Camera Visual Effects.
A settings menu with options to adjust Anti-Aliasing, V-Sync, Display Size, Music Volume, SFX Volume, Master Volume, Fullscreen, etc.
