Overview
Part of our reworking of the core mechanics is rebuilding the battle system. What is the most important part of the battles from FNAF World? The moves, the very thing that allows you to do anything during the fight. We're ready to share some details on how we're going to make the mechanics surrounding the moves in FNAF World: The Resurrection more fun. There are other changes to battles (and maybe even some move-related) that will be revealed in due time, so keep an eye out in the near future!
Since we're going to be trying to make these posts as much as we can, we will be branding these posts as "Feature Highlights" from this post onward!
Move Reworks
There are plenty of moves from FNAF World, and a few of them can be either totally useless or too powerful. One example of a move that struggled was Regen Song, when compared to Cupcakes, both of which are part of Chica's moveset, Cupcakes is the clear winner. We will be reworking Regen Song into a risk vs reward. Cupcakes will remain as is, but Regen Song will be able to heal slightly more overall over the course of it's active time. It'll be a lot more viable overall.
As for the "too powerful" example, gift boxes. It makes healing obsolete in a way, because it just revives at full health, that will no longer be the case. The move itself will be nerfed to revive at 50%, and chip will be changed as well, but we will talk more about Chips later down the line.
Moveset changes & additions
Some characters that were in FNAF World will be having their movesets modified or completely changed. This is due to either the move(s) not fitting, or new ideas we have created that just work better with that character. Not every animatronic is affected by this. Here is an example, Mangle. Consider this a teaser for a new move as well!
Levelling Up in Resurrection
In the community discord (which if you haven't joined yet, you should!), someone said levelling up FNAF World can be described as "cosmetic". This is, for the most part, true. Levels in the original FNAF World only changes the damage dealt and health of a character.
We're changing this for FNAF World: The Resurrection. Levelling up with now serve a purpose outside of stats, and that purpose will be to earn better attacks. It's still early for this concept so we haven't got the full details yet, but we will in time!
