Feature set and plans for the game


Hi! Thank you for following Obfuscated.
I would like to take some time to explain more about the functionality that’s planned for the game.

The game is set in the modern era in an alternate reality where the U.S. and Europe merged into the U.C. ( United Continents ). You are hired by an unknown contractor to sabotage their efforts and expose their secrets.

The games main mechanic is sneaking. Enemies have a pretty extensive line of sight, so staying hidden is essential to succeed. All enemies are in contact with the HQ and share information on your location once they have spotted you.

There are penalties for killing enemies, being spotted and triggering alerts. The missions you receive are based on your ratings in previous missions, so the better you get at the game, the harder and more extensive the next mission will be.

If you’re able to get close to a enemy without being noticed you can pacify him. This will disable the enemy for a certain amount of time. If the enemy wakes up, he will trigger an alert. So it’s best to avoid pacifying enemies.

The game locations are varied and all play within the same space. There’s islands of different sizes with villages and bases scattered around for you to explore and secure. traveling between locations is possible over land, water and through the air in a variety of vehicles.

The first release will feature:

  • One island

  • Two Simple Missions

  • Enemy vision and HQ information management

  • Blocked non enterable buildings ( except the ones needed for the missions )

Hope you’ll like the game prototype! I would like to take the same approach as Blameless and decide if the game is worth developing based on your feedback!

Obfuscated Continues Dev Just a little shout to let you know development on the game has started again! Stay tuned for a new build sometime soon. Here’s a screen of one of the areas, the game will still be open world.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
