I apologize for leaving you guys in the dark for, two weeks is it? It’s just that what I want to reveal without spoiling the game is getting scare (I’m not Daddy Sakurai where I can upload a daily image.) It’s nearing completion so it shouldn’t be too long now. Before today, I haven’t even touched RPG Maker since last week because I’ve been working almost non-stop for over a month now with little breaks, and I got my wisdom teeth removed (didn’t hurt, it’s just that I was spitting saliva and blood every thirty seconds). But enough about me.
There were great moments of lag randomly distributed in the game, and I had no idea what was causing it. One of the factors could be that I didn’t know how to program walkable/unwalkable tilesets, and thought it would be simplier to make events blocking you from moving on certain tiles. Could I be more wrong?
The individual pages would like this:
I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, you’re an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot, I’m an idiot. But now that I know I shouldn’t be doing that, it looks like this
When you play, you won’t even see the squares, but because there are less of them, the game won’t be lagging nearly as much. If you’re going to ask what those squares are drifting in the top-left corner, they’re misc. events that only occur once something happens and then stops, instead of working 24/7 (they won’t make the game lag regardless, don’t mention them or my organization skills).
The only “room” that needs to be built is the outside walkway that Sonic and Shadow fight on during their battle in Sonic Adventure 2. But do I really need that is the question.
Remember the playable build I promised? I’ve decided to not do it, and will most likely just let a few people “beta test” about a week or so before I upload the finished game. As for a release date, it’s definitely not this month. I’m aiming for August at the earliest, but it’s still subject to change.
Finally, I’ve recieved a few “1 Star” ratings, if you haven’t already, please compensate for them, but I’d rather you try the game itself before you judge.
Expect a gameplay trailer soon!
