Final DEMO Update! v1.1.0

Friday 13th was a day filled with joy, relief, and stress all at the same time. XD

This DEMO launch week really helped me identify what needed to be improved so that 'An Easter to Remember' could make the best possible impression at the Steam Next Fest, which starts today. I’m very confident that this will be the LAST version of the DEMO, as I’m now beginning full development on the complete game. Of course, if any bugs appear, I’ll update the DEMO as quickly as possible.

Here’s what’s changed in v1.1.0:

- Added an “Easy” mode.

- Added some extra tutorials.

- Added Volume controls in the Settings. You can now control the Master Game Volume and the Multiplayer Voice Chat Volume.

- The Rabbit is now A LOT easier to avoid. There is a mechanic where, if you look at him while he’s chasing you, he increases his speed. Many players didn’t catch that, which made the game nearly impossible to beat. I didn’t remove that mechanic, but I did decrease his speed a lot. XD

- The lockers in the school hallways are now A LOT easier to see through when you’re hiding in them.

- Increased the chances of Alarm Activation and Power Outages, since some players were beating the game without going through at least one of these events.

- The Power Panel on the second floor has been moved to the end of the hallway.

- While chasing, the Rabbit will now break through barricades instead of just going through them. Although sometimes he can still get through doors, which will be fixed as soon as possible.

- When players take damage or jump while the character is crouched, he will automatically uncrouch. Many players were running away from the Rabbit while crouched before figuring that out. XD

- In Multiplayer, you no longer need to name the Lobby. It will default to the Game Mode you’re currently playing.

- In Multiplayer, when players drop an item, it will now be marked.

- Fixed a bug where the player could get through barricades.

- Fixed a bug where players could X-ray through the map.

- Fixed a bug where, on respawn, the map would not load correctly.

- Fixed a bug where the “Play Again” UI button was not translating into other languages.

- Fixed a bug where, if players opened a door too closely, they would get dragged by it and could get stuck behind walls.

- Fixed a bunch of soft-locks hidden throughout the map. There could still be more. XD

- Fixed a bug where the Rabbit could spawn out of nowhere right in front of the player. He can still appear behind you though. ;)

- Fixed a Multiplayer bug where the Rabbit could find players even when they were in hiding spots.

- Fixed a Multiplayer bug where Voice Chat did not have a proximity-based 3D effect.

- Fixed a Multiplayer bug where players could get out of hiding spots accidentally while typing in the Text Chat.

- Fixed a visual Multiplayer bug where players’ characters would still appear to be holding a key after using it.

"Our work is never over" they said.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

So here's the first of the zodiac signs i will make for the next weeks.
