Final Devlog before Act 1's release (most likely)

(Act 1 spoilers out of context image by @Malek_X_or_smh )

It's been a whiiiiiiile since I wrote an actual serious devlog, this is gonna be a big one. I'm gonna answer some questions, reveal some stuff and so on.

"When Act 1 is releasing?"
I am gonna answer that right away, it's coming out in june, not may. The reason is: This month I am gonna focus way more on school, because I need to pass exams so I could graduate from school.

"Why Act 1 takes so long?"

Originally, Act 1 was shorter than it is now, as more ideas were starting to flood, it became more bigger and I am now happy with the amount of content Act 1 has.
Despite that, as the time went, I started noticing that some of the visuals didn't look... quite good in my eyes.

So, a few people and I started improving the visuals. Have some side by side comparison:

And with visual changes, sound design was worked on as well! Some sounds depend on what you are doing, where you are, are you watching cameras or not. And in general way more sounds were added to enhance the experience!

Time to show some features that this game offers:

Razer Chroma support

What is exactly Razer Chroma? It's basically a RGB lighting system that can change depending on what you're doing in a game that supports it. It works on the Razer products, but if you try hard enough, you can make it work on non-razer products.

Have this in action:

Not gonna lie, I added this feature purely for myself, but if it happens that somebody has a device supporting Razer Chroma too, it will boost the atmosphere!

XP System

If you played Five Shows at Wario's: Director's Cut, you might be already familiar with this concept, however, I must admit that it wasn't executed that well. That's why I am here to improve it.

First of all, many people (myself included) didn't like the fact that in FSaW DX it always gave you a random amount of XP after beating a run. In SNaW LB, player earns XP himself by doing something in game. Example: player defended against Wario, the game rewards player with 10 XP, and so on. The total amount of XP that the player earned in a gameplay segment will be calculated and added into XP bar after beating it. However, if player DIES, he loses the XP earned throughout the night.

Second, to 100% the game you won't need to reach certain levels. XP system's purpose is to reward you with customizable stuff like decoration, maybe some hud skins and something special, but all of that will be most likely added in Act 2 or Act 3, or in an update.

Third, If player wants to delete his save data and recomplete the game again, he is free to do that, because the game will ask you if you want your XP to be erased. If you press "No", the game will reset everything but the levels and decorations he earned.

There's more depth to it, but I am gonna leave that explained in the game. Lastly, have a look at the XP bar:

I think that's all I have to say. Feel free to ask questions in the comments!

See you soon.
