First devlog.

Hi!

This is the first devlog from Cutre Dungeon Prototype. What can I say now? Well, I have nothing to show at the moment.

I’m using Unity (for now) and I’m setting up some things. First, the collisions are done by raycast instead of using the engine rigidbody. Why? I like to make my life a little more difficult. So, by now there’s a simple squared sprite walking around responding at the player’s input with some correct collision response with the walls.

The next step, and the thing I’m working now, is the ability to move some things based on the player input plus it’s movement. So, if an object it’s movable and the player wants to move it, the object responds as the players push or pulls it. Thanks to the raycast approach, in theory, this is going to be easy-peasy.

Well, that’s all for now. I don’t have a clear schedule for the game yet but I would like to launch a demo, alpha, prototype or whatever you wanna call it by the end/beginning of the year. I’m thinking of something easy, maybe five or six dungeons with some polished mechanics to show what I’m trying to do, some advanced art made by made (or maybe not) and a simple menu game. I think that maybe, by the end/beginning of the week I will have some funny mechanics to show at my youtube channel and twitter.

Hope of all you are having a good day.

Here's a peaceful little forest scene for this #screenshotsaturday, from the beginning of the game.

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
