First release published


Hi!

I just released the first build of my first ever game!
It’s limited in features yet, and will continue development over time.

What is implemented:

  • World generation from perlin noise

  • Picking a starting point

  • Camera Controls

  • Simple AI villagers, wolves, bunnies and birds ( none animated )

  • MOTD ^_^ Much important!

  • Inspiring villagers ( woodcutter, stonemason, builder )

  • Resources ( wood, stone, food )

  • Villagers can swim for limited amount of time

  • Wildlife hunter and prey simulation

What is planned for the next update:

  • More wildlife

  • Tree growth and reproduction

  • Weather effects

  • Hunters and Farmer inspirations

  • Extra special buildings and actual influence by them

  • Optimize world generation and add hills, mountains and rivers

  • Much larger worlds

  • Models, Models, Models!

  • Animations! Animations! Animations!

  • Wildlife in the water

  • New villager AI ( mainly object avoidance )

Some of the feedback received:

  • There’s not much to do

  • It looks crappy

  • Reminds me of Banished and Minecraft

  • Bores fast

I’m working on the next update now and expect to release an update the 1st of September. If you played my game I would like to thank you for doing so and welcome anything you have to say about it!
