SOMETHING NEW!
- I've been very unhappy with the state of the game and that definitely comes from the fact that I rushed to get the game out as soon as possible. To remedy that, I've spent some time looking through every card and mechanic to see how I could make the game more interesting. So much has changed that I feel like this warrants a big shiny 2.0 version.
REWORKED CARDS
- It would be way too much to write down every card change in this patch note, so instead you can either play it the game yourself or check out every change in this link: https://justpaste.it/az8l0.
CHIP REWORK
- Every single chip has changed in some way. This might be better, this might be worse. Hard to know to be honest but I do think they seem much cooler. Chips also don't take any space in deck anymore so enjoy the extra room.
NEW CARDS WHEN?
- Ever since i've published this game, a movie and two major FNAF games have been released: Help Wanted 2 and Secret of The Mimic. The animatronics from these games and the movie WILL be added to Five Cards at Freddy's at some point, but not anytime soon. I also plan on adding many more characters from the books and the fanverse but those are even further away because I'd like to take the time to experience those things myself for a better understanding of each character. I hope you can enjoy all the game has to offer for now.
NEW CARDS NOW!
- With all that said, the game now has 36 new collectible action cards which means that you can add a bunch of actions straight into your deck! I've realized the importance of spell cards in these kinds of card games and i've decided to do this big change now rather than later as a small treat for not having any new characters. These new actions are all based on Fnaf World attacks and you can obtain them like any other card. Some abilities have also changed to synergize with actions.
ORIGIN CHALLENGES
- You can now challenge decks from each origin in the game (fnaf 1, fnaf 2, sister location, etc.) and by beating them you're guaranteed to gain two cards from that origin. This makes it so that you're a lot more likely to find that one card you've always wanted to use!
CREATED CARDS
- Every single card that is created by another card (like BonBon or Bonnet) now have a brand new shiny keyword: CREATED! By itself this keyword doesn't do much but I've added and changed a few abilities to synergize with these created cards.
CHALLENGE IMPROVEMENTS
- Due to the massive changes in cards and the addition of brand new ones, i've decided to take a second look at every challenge deck and tweak them to be a bit better. I've also tweaked the human challenges so that they hopefully feel more challenging.
TARGETABLE EFFECTS
- I really like random chance in card games, but i've realized that it's a bit too present in this one. I've decided to change many of the card abilities to be actually targetable, meaning that you won't have to rely on RNG for those effects. The downside to this (due to cardeneer) is that their effects will only activate if played from your hand.
SOME OTHER STUFF
- Human cards draw themselves at the start of the game.
- Chip challenge levels are now locked and can only be unlocked by fully beating it's previous level.
- Chip challenges now explain the chip's ability at the start of battle.
- New unique art for every chip card.
- The art of every action is now in the weird fnaf 8-Bit style.
- The CUSTOM NIGHT challenge now uses two origins.
- The FUNHOUSE challenge now doesn't give you every card in the game, just 30 random ones.
- The "novel trilogy" origin has been changed to "fnaf books"
- New starting cards and starting deck
- New card backs (selectable in deck options.)
- New border for actions and challenge cards.
- You now draw 1 less card at the start of the game.
- Max health is now 30.
- Max energy is now 10.
- Beating a challenge and leveling up rewards two cards instead of three now, this is to better balance the new origin challenges.
- Many wording changes.
THANK YOU FOR ENJOYING THE GAME, UNTIL NEXT TIME!
