I have to side with FNAF 1993. I have my evidence!
MatPat cannot confirm parts of the lore.
This is a very big misconception. Just because MATPAT says something, doesn't mean it's official.
The beginning of FETCH.
On Christmas, I got Fetch as a gift from my Grandma and started reading it. The story describes the place Greg (The MC) and his had visited at the start of the story. It was described as a Pizzeria. (Most likely Freddy Fazbear's.) The story mentions how smartphones hadn't been around that long. I'm pretty sure they came around sometime between 2001 and 2009. This means the story takes place sometime around 2005 to 2006. This is 2 to 3 years after FNAF 1, but the story describes the place as very dusty and with lots of holes in the roof. The building would need a lot of time to decay than 2 to 3 years! Something like 7 years or maybe 11.
The FNAF 1 Night 5 Paycheck.
The paychecks in the 1st 2 games are often overlooked. But the Night 5 Paycheck even PROVES when the game takes place. See, if you read any edition of the Freddy Files, the FNAF 1 Section says you get FOUR DOLLARS an hour. The closest thing to that you can find in REAL PAYCHECKS is 4.25$ an hour. And the minimum wage you get per hour in 1993 was 4.25$! But MatPat claims it's in 2003. If you did your homework, you would know that the minimum wage per hour in 2003 was 5.15$. 4.25 x 6 is 25.5 (That's how much you get every day) and multiply that by 5 (How many base nights there are in every game) you'd get 127.5$. I think that's closer to the actual FNAF 1 Paycheck. The Night 5 paycheck is 120$. But 127.5$ is still very close! Now let's do math with the paycheck for 2003. 5.15 x 6 = 30.9, 30.9 x 5 = 185.4. That's way more than the actual paycheck
I hope this helps prove when FNAF 1 Takes place for you. Seriously, don't believe everything MatPat says. He can't confirm anything.
