FNAFB in space (Challenge Night Updates)


Hello everyone. Let me explain some new content and reasoning for challenge night of FNAFB 3

The Challenge Night's have allowed me to make small short story's within the FNAFB universe. Back in march It first started off as custom night with different presets, Then I got the idea to make it different characters than different maps, than hard mode which changes the way the maps act. I never started work on it until the near end of may. In fact I still haven't gotten work on the VHS tapes cause this has been taking up most of my time. Not only has this endeavor made the game size larger (both in length and download size) but it has allowed me to create ideas I have had in the past come to life and create out worldly ideas.

If you have been watching my dev streams on my Jurassic ARK channel. You may have seen the amazing amount of progress I have made on the game. Most of these nights have taken 2 to 3 days to make at max.

The one you may have heard of from video updates however is the space level. The lore being:

"In the year 2545. With humanity starting space travel to colonize and building space station citys comes a Fredbear/Freddy Fazbears experience. Animtronics no longer need suits cause kids in the future aren't scared of robotic endoskeletons. Though some animatronics have had there past suits infected with cryo freeze. "

I got the idea for this map while watching the martin for science class. I still have a lot of work to make it looks more better. Plus Freddy in space exists. I didn't want to just make a plain old restaurant for the 7th time. I have other ideas such as a cargo ship (Idea I got from going on a boat today), abandoned school/building, a warzone, a city block. Which gives me 12 challenge night maps in total. As I promised. However making a lore cutsence for each is gonna be the hardest part trying to explain all the complex shit. Thats no it however. There are gonna be atleast 4 boss nights. 1st will have glitchtrap, 2nd will have DL-7 in a withered/rottenform, 3rd I haven't decided and 4th will have every single animatronic from the game face you at once (Which is about 40 animatronics I have made) I will have to reprogram many of them for there AI to work in a new map that they aren't meant for cause some have set paths and AI.

I have had so much fun shooting the animatronics out the airlock. since thats a thing you can do I think it would be cool to have atleast 9 of them running around so you have an incentive to get rid of them so you can make sure the oxygen levels are stable in each valve is easier.

Sure I just spoiled most of it. But I am not more open about this stuff since fusion showed off my game. There's not much to really spoil for custom night other than the ending or if you watched my streams making them.

I have finished many of the maps. But the next one I am gonna work on (Ill highlight the others one I finished in another dev log) will be more dark. The darkest one I will say.

This map is gonna take place in a war in an desert environment. it’s probably gonna be more like world war 3 or some random war in 2054 where this one night will take place. My main inspiration will be halo 2 and halo 3 ODST. I intend for the main drop to be like old Mombasa while the backdrop is like burning city’s crimson sky and warfare

Something like this in the background would be glorious and look good with a desert backdrop. I always have seen my games as story telling/action games for a challenge and story. Though war can be scary and I think if I can pull this off right I can convey it in this night Gonna have to think about what the hard mode version will be either a haunted memorial or something. This night is mostly to show the horrors of war and because I want to make an halo reference again. Also its a cool idea for me.

Some concerns people have had with my game is that a game that at times doesn't take itself seriously will have serious and dark moments. However let me say this.

This game is gonna be dark at points. FNAFB 2 had a VERY dark backstory with DL-7 that you can find with the newspapers. Just because kids play it doesn't mean I can't touch into that. You don't see rockstar removing strip clubs cause tons of kids play there game? I wont censor dark plots to make people who can't handle them happy. I am not trying to be an edgy person for it either.

Just because the game jokes at this time doesn't mean I am making light of these situations. Sister location also had tons of humor to break up the depression. When the two employees where hanged did the jokes in the game make light of the situation? No. Even then, the jokes have been only in the campaign so far. Challenge Night sure will have a night that has a war backdrop. But it wont have shitty memes or jokes (There aren't any memes in FNAFB 3. Mostly just dark or crude humor) I don't have youtuber shout outs till the end of the game either. Most of that stuff is immersion breaking.

everything in challenge night has had zero dialogue. Just short story's from the universe. So even if I ever was trying to make light of things I couldn't have cause there are ZERO jokes in the challenge nights expect for that one description of challenge night 2.

And at the end of the day there are barley any jokes in the game as it is. There very minimal. So saying that I can't have a war night because there's jokes in the game is not the best argument.

Anyways I will explain some other things later such as my use of Horror Engine and other shenanigan's. But for now I just want to be done this article XD Thanks for following the development of FNAFB 3

Megalodon Update Got its model with animations now, Been working on implementing into 3 of my projects so far. Fredbear's 3, Halo 3 and Saurains Evolved 3. Expect to see its challenge night be finished soon!

Hey everyone. As you all voted for work to be done on VHS tapes and cutscenes. Thats the next focus (which means im away from UE4 for a while now and in SFM) I actually got some help with this from Magma SFM If anyone else wants to help out. Let me know.

So expect to see some of my halo maps be ported to future Fredbear's games as maps. Of course they will be edited to fit the setting. but Reusing resources goes a long way to save development time.
